DESCRIPTION:Self Esteem & Empowerment Group for Adolescent Girls \n\nA 7 week group that educates about self-esteem\, body image\, healthy relationships\, and empowerment.\n\nPurpose of Group: \n\nThis group will consist of adolescent girls and will assist them to develop healthy self-esteem\, body image\, and social skills\n\nWho is invited? \n\nGirls ages 13 to 17 (6 to 10 participants per group)\nThis group is open to current Generations patients as well as those who are not patients of Generations\nIf you are already a Generations patient (medical\, dental\, or behavioral health)\, your provider can help you with a referral to the group. If you are not a patient\, your provider can refer you.\n\nWhen: \n\nWednesdays 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm from July 12th to August 23\, 2023\nNo new members accepted for this session after the first week\n\nWhere: \n\nGenerations Family Health Center (202 Pomfret Street\, Putnam\, CT)\n\nLearning Objectives: \n\nWe are going to be exploring topics such as:\n\nCreating healthy body image\nImproving self-esteem\nImproving self-concept\nFostering creativity\nUnderstanding stereotypes\n\n\n\nRegister Today: \n\nFacilitators: Pamala Standfest\, LCSW and Shawna Salce-Pellerin\, LCSW\nYou must pre-register for the group by June 30\nCall (860) 963-7917\n\nPayment: \n\nMedicaid and most private insurances accepted.
