DESCRIPTION:WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF THIS GROUP? \nThe anxiety therapy group will provide a balanced approach between providing mutual support among group members and helpful strategies to reduce anxiety\, stress\, and panic overall. This group is for people with an anxiety disorder diagnosis or people whose therapist believes the group could be helpful. \nTOPICS COVERED: \n\nEducate about anxiety and stress’s impact in a compassionate\, judgement-free\, and supportive environment.\nDevelop strategies group members can use in their everyday lives\nTeach strategies like mindfulness/breathing practices while exploring how to cope with stress from everyday life.\nImprove understanding and follow-through with self-care strategies that may have been discussed in client’s individual appointments\n\nWHO IS ELIGIBLE? \n\n Open to everyone\, Generations’ patients and non-patients\n18+ years old\n\nWHEN: \nMondays 3:00 – 4:00 pm \nBeginning June 2\, 2025 \nNote: Flexible Enrollment! This ongoing therapy group is open for new members anytime.  Call to register.  \nWHERE: \nGenerations Family Health Center \n202 Pomfret St. • Putnam \nCOST/PAYMENT: \nWe accept Medicare\, Medicaid\, most private insurance plans\, and patients without insurance. If you’re uninsured or need financial assistance\, ask about our Sliding Fee Scale program to see if you qualify for a reduced rate.
