Generations is now offering Behavioral Telehealth Services during this summer vacation to all Putnam Public School Students via phone or video.

Who is eligible

All Putnam Public School Students Pre-K through 12th grade. Current School-Based Health Center (SBHC) patients as well as new student patients. If your child or teen is experiencing difficulty coping with social isolation and other lifestyle changes related to the pandemic, we are here to help.

What services are available?

The Putnam School-Based Health Center (SBHC) is open to meet your child’s Behavioral Health needs during the coronavirus pandemic. Our SBHC clinicians are providing quality telehealth therapy services, including telephone and video telehealth visits. Telehealth is easy and safe to use from the comfort of your home. The therapist texts or emails a link to your child to click, and they are connected.

How do we get services?

Please call our Putnam office at (860) 963-7917 and press 4 for our Behavioral Health Department. You will be able to make an appointment for your child around their new on-line learning schedule. If your child will be a new patient to the SBHC, the registration paperwork can easily be filled out and submitted on a computer or smartphone.

ARE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR PARENTS OR OTHERS IN THE HOUSEHOLD?

Yes, telehealth therapy services are also available with our Putnam outpatient therapists for parents and others in the household to help cope with stress and other effects of the pandemic. Please call the number below to get started.

Insured/Uninsured:

- The School-Based Health Center accepts most insurances. For those students with insurance, the insurance will be billed.

- Eligible families may apply for a sliding fee scale discount, which could decrease your co-pay, based on family size and income.

- For the uninsured, we will work with families to screen for insurance eligibility. We will work with you on a payment plan.

No student will be refused services based on inability to pay.
