Capital Project Giving Trees (at our Willimantic and Putnam Sites)
Donors can contribute to our capital project through our Giving Tree program. A donation to our Giving Tree will plant a seed for our future growth and further strengthen the branches of care we provide throughout our service area by funding building and equipment projects. Generations recognizes donors to our capital projects funds by placing Giving Trees in the lobbies of our Putnam and Willimantic facilities. The Giving Tree provides you with the opportunity to recognize family, friends and a loved one in an ongoing memorial.

Examples of How Donations to The Patient Assistance Fund Have Helped Patients
- A Mom of one of our patients in our Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs program was having problems driving with her child in the car. The special needs child would get out of her seat belt and distract the mom while she was trying to drive. Funds from our Patient Assistance fund purchased a locking car harness that prevented the child from getting out of her seat belt.
- One of the Doctors was able to use funds from our Patient Assistance fund for a pediatric patient with an Oppositional Defiant Disorder to pay for 2 months of gymnastics as it helps the patient with maintaining a healthy weight and also reduces behaviors of Oppositional Defiant Behavior.
- One of our uninsured medical patients was referred to Urology. We were able to negotiate special pricing with the Urologist for the initial visit and funds from our Patient Assistance fund paid for the visit.
- One of our patients who underwent a retinology exam at Generations was found to have issues with their retina. We were able to work with an outside Ophthalmology practice to have her seen there for a more comprehensive exam. The patient does not have insurance currently and could not have been seen without our assistance. By doing this, we were possibly saving the patient’s vision.
- One of our Medical patients suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. The patient has a hard time remembering appointment dates and times. We were able to use the Patient Assistance fund to get the patient a recording device. This device allows him to record and playback information that he is given such as appointment reminders, grocery lists etc.
