BRINGING HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO A LOCATION NEAR YOU
At Generations, our mission has always been to provide essential healthcare services to those who are most in need within our community. To further this mission and extend our reach, we have a Mobile Health Unit that travels to scheduled locations to provide medical and support services and in the future dental services to individuals who face barriers in accessing essential healthcare services.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE SERVICES?
New and existing patients of all ages are welcome.
WHAT SERVICES WILL BE OFFERED
Medical:
- Acute Illnesses/Urgent Needs (not limited to):
- Common cold/flu
- Stomachaches
- Earaches/infections and foreign body removal
- Family planning
- Abscess incision and drainage
- Minor burns, lacerations, sprains and fractures
- Rashes and insect bites
- Corneal abrasions
- Wellness Exams/Physicals
- Tests & Screening:
- On Site lab testing & screening such as:
- Blood Pressure
- A1C
- Hemoglobin
- HIV
- Strep
- Pregnancy
- Blood Sugar
- PT/INR
- Urinalysis
- On Site lab testing & screening such as:
- Referrals to nearest lab for other blood tests such as cholesterol, metabolic panel, etc.
- Swab and send out to for tests such as:
- Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Gynecological swabs
- FLU/COVID/RSV
- Immunizations:
- Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap)
- Hepatitis A/B (Twinrix)
- Childhood immunizations (all required vaccines)
- Flu (seasonal)
- COVID-19
- Chronic disease education and management
Support Services:
- Referrals to Care
- Assistance with Insurance
- Connections to Community Partner’s Services
- Care Coordination
Dental: (Coming Soon)
- Preventative Oral Health Care, including:
- Exams
- Cleanings
- Fluoride treatments and sealants
- Oral Health Education

Payment:
- We accept Medicaid/HUSKY and most private insurance plans
- A sliding fee scale available based on income and family size
- We will see you even if you do not have insurance
- We can help with applying for HUSKY and other insurance options
Staff:
Our mobile health unit will have a compassionate staff that includes physicians or nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and community health workers. Staff will have access to our electronic medical record system that supports clinical management and patient documentation.

Interested in Generations Mobile Unit Coming to You:
We are looking for sites in eastern CT to park our 44-foot van equipped with exam rooms. Generations’ healthcare professionals will provide medical services, care coordination, support services, and, shortly, dental services.
We are interested in partnering with entities to find locations where individuals or families struggle to get healthcare services, with barriers such as transportation, language, or finances.
Our partnership would include assistance with communicating to your clients, customers or employees about the van and how to sign up for services.
