Why do you work at Generations? “Since graduating from UConn in 2012, I’ve lived in eastern Connecticut and primarily in the Northeast. I fell in love with the area and the folks around here. After over a decade in the field, the excellent reputation and positive impact on the community of Generations led me here. I always want to work with folks who share my mindset of wanting to improve our community.”

Specialty: Anxiety, depression, Trauma. I work with Children and Adults.

Education & Training: I graduated with my BA in English from Rhode Island College, and my Master’s of Social Work from the Catholic University of America. Trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which is an eye movement therapy that treats trauma, anxiety, phobias, etc. I recently passed my LCSW test in April of 2021 and have been working in the social work field for 3 years. Prior to this, I was a Paraprofessional at Putnam Elementary School.

Personal Interests: Hiking, reading, exercise, and spectating sports

Why do you work at Generations? “I work for Generations for the many opportunities to work with individuals of diverse needs and backgrounds. I also enjoy working as a team with persons of different disciplines as well as learning from great colleagues in the BH department.”

Specialty: Using eye movement therapy (EMDR/ART) to help patients manage symptoms of PTSD, general anxiety, phobias, OCD, loss/grief, performance anxiety, addiction and depression.

Professional Achievements: Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR); trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Eye movement therapy for work with trauma/PTSD, phobias, anxiety, grief, depression.

Personal Interests: Kayaking, backpacking, hiking, running, and Reiki.

Why do you work at Generations? “I love working at Generations because of the close connection I feel with both my colleagues and patients.”

Specialty: I see patients across lifespans. I have an interest in women’s maternal mental health and doing outreach in the community.

Education & Training: Undergraduate at Yale, Medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, rotating internship at Botsford General Hospital (Farmington Hills, MI), and residency at St Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT

Personal Interests: Slow bike riding and doing yardwork with non-power tools

Why do you work at Generations? “Having worked as a primary care provider in private practice, urgent care and in health maintenance organizations, it is clear that FQHC is the type of practice in which I can provide the best care, and happy that Generations provides me the opportunity to practice medicine that supports the health of the community.”

Personal Interests: Music, singing, and plays many instruments (none of which very well). Currently play double bass in an orchestra, two jazz bands, and a small classical music ensemble. Used to play with Connecticut doctors’ orchestra when it used to be called Connecticut Valley Symphony Orchestra.
