Mind, Body, & Spirit: A Group for Teen Girls

May 3 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

A 12-week group that educates about relationships and social skills to make friends and maintain relationships.

 

PURPOSE OF THE GROUP:

This group will consist of Spanish-speaking female adolescents (13-17) who have trouble finding the balance with their mental and physical health. We will include discussions involving the Mind, Body, and Spirit for our Latina youth.

WHO IS INVITED?

  • Spanish-speaking girls ages 13-17  (6 to 10 participants per group)
  • This group is open to current Generations patients as well as those who are not patients of Generations.
  • If you are already a Generations patient (medical, dental or behavioral health), your clinician can help you with a referral to the group. If you are not a Generations patient, your clinician can refer you.

WHEN:

Fridays 3:30- 4:30 pm

From May 3 – July 19, 2024

No new members accepted for this session after the first week.

Generations Family Health Center 40 Mansfield Avenue, Willimantic

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

We are going to be exploring topics such as:

  • Exploring the inner critic
  • Defining healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • Alcohol, drugs and the Mind/Body/Spirit Balance
  • Learning to utilize emotional communication skills
  • Understanding Love, Sex and the Mind/Body/Spirit Balance
  • Celebrating the Latin culture and
